John A. Kelley, Jr., has been the Chairman and CEO of CereScan, a functional brain diagnostics company headquartered in Denver, Colorado since mid-2009. Previously, Mr. Kelley served as the Chairman, President, and Chief Executive Officer of McDATA Corporation, a provider of storage networking and data infrastructure solutions until Brocade Communications Systems, Inc. acquired McDATA in early 2007. Prior to joining McDATA, he served as Executive Vice President of Networks at Qwest Communications International from July 2000 to December 2000, after Qwest acquired US West in 2000. He was the President of Wholesale Markets for US West from May 1998 to July 2000. From 1995 to April of 1998, Mr. Kelley served as Senior Vice-President and General Manager of Large Business and Government Accounts as well as President of the Federal Systems Group. Before his employment at US West, he was the Area President for Mead Corporations Southwest Region from 1991 to 1994 and Vice President and General Manager of the Industrial Products Division for Mead in 1995. He has held senior leadership positions at NBI Corp., Alcatel/Friden, and Xerox Corporation. Mr. Kelley has been a member of the board of directors of Polycom, Inc. (NASDAQ) since March of 2000 and currently serves as the Chair of the Nominating and Governance Committee. He is also on the Board of Directors of Emulex Corporation (NYSE), and began that assignment in 2014. His private company board work has included Aztek Networks, Stored IQ, Circadence Corporation, and 3 Leaf Networks. Additionally, he has participated at the board level on several local and national non-profits. Mr. Kelley holds a BS in Business Management from the University of Missouri, St. Louis. He has served in the US Army (1970-1972) and also played varsity baseball at the University of Missouri, Columbia.
T. Richard Fort, PhD is CereScan’s Chief Science Officer. Dr. Fort became a member of the CereScan’s Board of Directors in late 2011. He began his career in the space shuttle program at Kennedy Space Center where he worked in Human Resource Development with a focus on leadership and total quality management. After continuing his career in HR in the telecommunications industry for six years, Dr. Fort moved into the world of education when he bought a Sylvan Learning Center franchise. In 1995, he founded Education Sales Management (ESM), which was then a customer contact center serving only a handful of Sylvan Learning Centers in Colorado, but which quickly grew into the premier enrollment center for Sylvan franchisees across the nation. ESM branched into higher education and became the leading business process outsourcer for student lifecycle services, primarily in the areas of college admissions and student retention. Over 16 years ESM grew to $50M in revenue and 800 employees and was acquired by Xerox Corporation in July 2011. Dr. Fort’s emphasis on building a winning environment and shaping a culture of excellence led ESM to be recognized as one of the Best Companies to Work For in Colorado and Ohio. Today, in addition to CereScan, Dr. Fort manages The Fort Knocks Company, a family holding company. He earned a BA in Psychology from Louisiana State University, an MS in Experimental Psychology from Northeast Louisiana University, and a PhD in Organizational Psychology at Walden University.
Bradford K. Amman is CereScan’s Chief Financial Officer. From June 2006 to December 2010, Mr. Amman served in various financial and operational roles including the Chief Financial Officer, VP Finance, Secretary, and Treasurer of LifeVantage Corporation, a scientifically-based and publically-held dietary supplement company. Prior to joining LifeVantage, Mr. Amman provided CFO-level financial consulting services to a unique client base within the hospitality, lodging, e-commerce, transportation, and manufacturing industries. Mr. Amman served as Vice President, Finance and Administration and Treasurer of SKYDEX Technologies, Inc. in Denver and has served in various senior-level financial and accounting roles within the manufacturing and telecom industries. Mr. Amman received his BS in Accounting from the University of Denver and his MBA from the University of Notre Dame.
Shane Quint is CereScan’s Chief Technology Officer. He received his degree in Computer Science in 1985 and gained employment with Electronic Data Systems as a Systems Engineer. Over the next five years, Mr. Quint honed his software development and database technology skills working for Burlington Northern Railroad and through other consulting projects. In 1995, Mr. Quint founded Quint Consulting Services, Inc., where he built a successful information technology consulting practice specializing in web and database technologies. Some of Quint Consulting Services’ notable clients included Kroger, United Artists Theaters, The Shane Company, Level 3 Communications, US West, and Colorado Prepaid Tuition. In 2005, Mr. Quint joined Education Sales Management (ESM) as VP of Technology and later Chief Technology Officer where he was in charge of all aspects of information technology including software development, infrastructure, and call center technology. Mr. Quint is an investor in CereScan and began consulting with the company on various projects in 2012. In April 2014, he joined the company full time as CTO.
Brett W. Green, Esq. is Vice President of Forensics Services at CereScan. He joined CereScan in February 2012 and provides consultative and support services to the legal community. Most recently, Mr. Green was a Senior Analyst and Supervisor at a consulting firm contracted by one of the nation’s largest mortgage services to review and analyze its residential foreclosure proceedings for compliance with federal and state laws. Previously, Mr. Green served as the Chief Compliance Officer and general counsel to a Denver-based, publicly-traded, closed-end mutual fund and its investment advisor. In this capacity, his work included dealing with state and federal securities regulators while conducting private securities offerings and registered public offerings. Mr. Green earned his BA in Psychology from Vanderbilt University and his JD from the University of Denver, Sturm College of Law.
Jeff Kelley is Vice President of Sales and Marketing at CereScan, with responsibility for development and management of the company’s sales and marketing resources. As a member of its executive team he will use his considerable experience in innovative product technologies and new market penetration to expand the company’s reach through its sophisticated brain diagnostic products and state-of-the-art SPECT and PET/CT brain imaging technologies. Prior to joining CereScan in September 2015, Mr. Kelley was Vice President of Commercial Sales for QuickDrain USA, a market leader in advanced plumbing design and systems for healthcare and hospitality markets. Mr. Kelley has had a successful career in various director-level sales management and business development roles within the highly competitive telecommunications, cable, utility and building trades markets. He earned his BS in Business Administration from Arkansas State University, where he was a 4-year scholar athlete and recipient of the 1997-98 Sun Belt Conference Sportsmanship Award.
Garrett Bussiere is the Neurosciences Manager at CereScan. He has taken on multiple roles within the company including managing the research and marketing departments as well as assisting with various clinical services. Garrett earned his BA from the University of California at Berkeley in Neuroscience and wrote his thesis on Neuroethics and Cognitive Neuroscience. After competing professionally with the St. Louis Cardinals and later working in both the medical and educational fields, he authored Clarity Amid the Confusion, a book on cognitive restoration following traumatic brain injury. Garrett joined the CereScan team full time in November 2013.
Tim Krumrie is the company’s Brain Injury Advocate, and leads CereScan’s outreach efforts to athletic organizations and athletes worldwide. His passion for raising awareness and addressing the invisible nature and chronic problems associated with traumatic brain injuries stems from his very personal experience as an accomplished amateur and professional athlete. Tim spent 27 years as an NFL player and a coach, most notably for the 20 seasons he spent in the Cincinnati Bengals’ organization. He was a 10th-round pick by the Bengals in the 1983 NFL Draft, and never missed a game in his 12-year career. He appeared in 193 career games, including five postseason starts, and was a part of the Bengals’ Super Bowl XXIII squad, as well as a two time AP All-Pro and a participant in two AFC Pro Bowls. A well-publicized severe leg injury during Super Bowl XXIII in 1988, and his remarkable rehabilitation in order to return and to start the opening game of the 1989 season are hallmarks of Tim’s incredible commitment as a player and an athlete. His achievements as a professional player were followed by a sustained coaching career in the league with the Bengals, the Buffalo Bills and the Kansas City Chiefs. Tim is enshrined in the University of Wisconsin’s Hall of Fame for his achievements as a football player and wrestler at the school, and was recognized twice during his collegiate career as an All-American in football.
