Toxins from fires, burn pits, chemical fumes, pesticides, and other environmental hazards can lead to brain damage as well. In some cases, these toxins can injure the brain directly and in others, they can indirectly cause harm by preventing normal levels of oxygen from reaching the brain.

Carbon monoxide and other toxic gases are odorless and colorless, and you may have been unknowingly exposed to these chemicals.
